I am Harajuku Pearl, born and bred in Singapore, and I am currently living as a nomadic contemporary artist between Asia and Europe.
After spending thirty (30) years in the interior design industry as a workplace consultant, 2024 marks my transition year as I fully embrace my passion for art. I create the Big Hair Gurls, inspired by watercolours and gouache, celebrating our big ideas and embracing our inner feminity.
My creative process begins with a deep exploration of my surroundings, drawing inspiration from the beauty of everyday life and the rich narratives woven into culture. Each piece is approached with curiosity, allowing my brush to dance across the canvas and capture fleeing moments and emotions. Collaboration with fellow artisans further enriches my vision, fostering innovation and depth.
Through my art, I aim to evoke wonder and connection with our creative souls, inviting you to engage with the stories embedded within each creation. My journey is one of exploration and discovery, and I welcome you to join me as I continue to push the boundaries of imagination.
Live life passionately, Dahling!
xoxo, Harajuku Pearl
